This book was my book club's selection of the month for March. I can honestly say I did not want to read it. I just assumed it would be overly religious and not interest me. My opinion was far off and I am glad I read and finished the book. As you follow the main character, Chris through his life and his "other" life it makes you think about the choices you make or have made in your own life. If I had to describe this book in two words it would be, "hope and faith".

Recommend this book to your family, friends and coworkers.

This story had me high lighting throughout the book. Memories resurfaced and I found myself crying, laughing, and crying some more. The story gave me inspiration to evaluate my religious beliefs. Liked Chris, after all, he's a Met fan!
The author isn't preaching to you or telling you how to live your life. This is a story that makes you think about your spirituality and how you live your life and how you handle all the curveballs. My only issue with the book is the fact the main character is way too infatuated with the NY Mets. If the character were a Yankee fan it would be that much better.
This book offers faith & inspiration in a time when, unfortunately, alot of people are questioning their faith with all that is going on in the world. It in no way shoves the beliefs down your throat or makes you feel spoken down to. The author has such a way with words that he makes you fall in love with the characters. I didn't want the book to end & I truly became concerned about Chris Marcum's well-being. If I wasn't on the bus when I finished the book I would have cried. It touched a part of me that I forgot was there...
For a self published author, Tom Startita possess the skills, talent and knowledge of a professional author. This novel is beautifully written and a must read. I laughed, I cried, and I experienced a restoration in my faith that I had been missing for a very long time. The story is current and relatable. Even if you are not a religious person the story also reflects real life, what's to come and how we deal with what has been. It's a touching story of love, life and death and once you have finished it I guarantee you will have a new perspective on your own life.
Two Ways to Sunday presents an engaging tale of emotional twists and turns for Chris Marcum, who has a chance to live out the "what ifs" of life. It's a story that takes a deeper look into personal faith and a person's doings and undoings. Starita delves into the heart of human emotions while keeping the reader involved and wondering, "what will happen next?". His characters are believable and easy to relate to. The themes guide the reader to explore life's more profound questions.
I am a bio major and I usually read educational and application books. I haven't read a novel in a while and don't feel I can judge what makes a good book. With that said, initially when I was reading I was wanting parts to be explained more and some to be extended. Also I was feeling uncomfortable seeing the changes and struggles of the main character and wishing parts were changed. However giving some time to let the book sink after reading I realized a few things. Throughout reading the book and seeing the main character's life unfold I felt sad, happy, and upset for him. In the end I was wishing not the book to be changed but changes for the main character's circumstances and attitude. I was reading not for entertainment but reading to see if things would turn out the way I wanted to for the main character.
